The previous ad of Sony Cybershot had Deepika padukone modeling and showing off the zoom power of the cam. This ad however takes her to the wilderness (animals vs deepika padukone – take your pick). The ad shows some very pretty birds and animals and shows the zoom power as well as the clarity even on high zoom for Sony Cybershot.
With Kareena Kapoor promoting Sony Vaio laptops and Deepika padukone promoting Sony Cybershot, the heat quotient for Sony is definitely rising. Sony was always known for its product and till date has an amazing Brand equity. It is possibly capitalizing on this as the market competition is increasing, in case of both laptops and cameras.
Deepika padukone on the other hand acts as the perfect brand ambassador. She herself is very photogenic and is loved by most. She has never attracted negativity in the bollywood industry and at the same time is known to be participating and good at anything she does. Thus the choice of a brand ambassdor is good.
We are sure that the zoom power of cybershot is excellent. However, I wish they had zoomed more on deepika though
